Freebird Bodywork is an evolving manifestation that connects bodywork to somatic education, and forest bathing. The journey began in 2005 when I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. In 2019 I completed my certification from the Novato Institute for Somatic Research and Training as a Hanna Somatic Educator, and in 2024 I became a certified guide through the Association for Nature and Forest Therapy. Throughout this time, I have been keenly attending to my clients; listening, learning, offering care, and developing my unique approach to bodywork.
Over the years, I've come to realize that a common pursuit among us is the restoration of our relationship with ourselves. Be it on a physical, somatic, or heart-centered level, we all yearn for improved communication to navigate our lived experiences with greater ease and connection. My greatest passion lies in discovering this language. Whether through therapeutic touch, the unraveling of knots in our bodies and minds, and now via deep immersive experiences in nature, I am grateful to guide my community toward deeper connections.
My role is a supportive one. I'm here to help you to understand and access the language of your body through invitation, and how that can draw out our ability to self-regulate and heal. I like to think of the practices I offer at Freebird as a secret decoder ring - a way to restore the flow of communication by simplifying the process of listening, receiving, and integrating.
There are many paths to embodiment. And ultimately, all roads lead to… experiencing how it feels to be alive in this body, at this time, in this world.
You are invited to join me for this journey, from the outside in.
