Becoming more human through connection with the More-Than-Human-World
Forest Bathing is more than a walk in the woods.
As your guide, I work in partnership with the forest.
Often referred to as “Forest Therapy”, the land, trees, and all of its more-than-human inhabitants become a collective therapist.
My work is to open the door, and guide the invitations to go deeper.
Each walk is approached with a spirit of acceptance, there are no expectations and there is no right or wrong way to enter into a relationship with the More Than Human World. Because the forest is different every time and you are different every time - one walk may lead to profound realisations, another can be deeply relaxing and restorative.
All is welcome and you are welcome.

Why Forest Bathing?
Connection and contemplation of Nature and the interconnectedness of all beings is a long held practice in many cultures, but the more formalised approach of Japanese shinrin-yoku (literally: "immersing oneself in the forest atmosphere" aka Forest Bathing or Forest Therapy), has spread across the world as a way to access and embody the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time with Nature.
Forest Bathing offers a unique way to experience the present moment; through sensory engagement, somatic exploration and meditative awareness, all whilst wandering slowly through a natural area. A typical Forest Bathing session is approximately 2.5 hours and covers only about ½ mile.
